Recognizing these challenges, Smartplus Co., Ltd. is launching Smartplus ONE to consolidate high-convenience functions that were not previously achievable with existing services. The goal is twofold: to significantly enhance the usability for customers engaging with the securities services on the BaaS (Brokerage as a Service) platform and to boost the competitiveness of partner companies.

What is Smartplus ONE?


Smartplus ONE is an independent integrated customer service platform distinct from the securities service applications operating on the BaaS ecosystem. This dedicated platform can be accessed via a separate login, although it is compatible with various securities service applications. Its aim is to offer a more unified and accessible service for clients utilizing securities services provided on BaaS.

Previously, the securities services accessed through the BaaS platform relied on a basic client support web service to offer essential functionalities such as balance inquiries, transaction histories, and deposit/withdrawal procedures. With the transition to Smartplus ONE, users are set to benefit from a significantly enhanced service offering.

Features of Smartplus ONE


The initial feature set at launch includes:
  • - Authentication/Login via Digital Certification App: Utilizing the government’s public personal authentication service, Smartplus ONE allows seamless login secure through the use of a My Number card.
  • - Various Document Verification: Users can electronically confirm important documents, ensuring security and accessibility.
  • - Account Recovery: Provides procedures for password resets while ensuring user verification.
  • - User Information Updates: Enables users to easily amend personal information such as addresses and emails.
  • - Integrated Management Functionality: Users can review a comprehensive list of services they are utilizing.
  • - Session Management: Users can view and terminate their login session if necessary.

Future updates promise expanded features such as digitalizing account closure processes, enabling customers to limit transaction capabilities on their accounts for enhanced security, and further digital transformations in NISA account-related procedures.

Smartplus ONE will cater to a multitude of asset management services on the BaaS platform, including offerings like Nissay Asset Management’s Goal Navi and N Direct, as well as Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management’s mattoco+, among over 40 other services.

Future Developments


Looking ahead, Smartplus plans to introduce a public personal authentication service using My Number cards during account registrations in May 2025 and to launch the first industry passkey authentication feature in August 2025. Through these initiatives and the introduction of Smartplus ONE, the company endeavors to enhance digitalization and security in the financial sector continuously.
