Univar Solutions Initiates Leadership Changes
On May 8, 2026, Univar Solutions LLC, a leading global supplier of specialty ingredients and chemical solutions, announced a significant shift in its management structure aimed at driving ongoing growth and transformation within the company. As the organization continues to prioritize value generation across all operational sectors, the current President and CEO, David Jukes, will assume the role of Executive Chair effective July 1, 2026.
This transition will see Jukes work closely with the executive team and Board of Directors to oversee strategic initiatives, ensure operational continuity, and support the execution of long-term priorities. Reflecting the company's confidence in its leadership, this change marks a crucial step as Univar Solutions prepares to enter a new phase of value creation.
A Focused Organizational Approach
The organizational changes align Univar Solutions' structure with customer-centric segments, each helmed by dedicated executives. Robert (Bob) Craycraft will lead the Chemical Distribution and Services segment, combining a comprehensive offering of chemical solutions with a robust logistics network to deliver best-in-class local services. Nicholas (Nick) Powell will oversee the Ingredients & Specialty Solutions segment, which focuses on enabling specific industries with high-quality solutions supported by a global network of formulation laboratories and research facilities. These laboratories aim to tackle technical challenges and assist in accelerating the market introduction of better products.
Furthermore, ChemPoint will continue to assist suppliers and customers in discovering new growth opportunities through demand generation and multi-channel digital marketing campaigns that encompass a wide array of chemicals and ingredients. Each executive will report to the Board of Directors, reinforcing accountability and strategic transparency.
Leadership Succession Planning
“This change represents an important step for Univar Solutions,” said David Jukes. “It follows a thoughtful succession planning process developed in close collaboration with our Board, and I look forward to continuing my focus on executing our long-term strategy, managing relationships, and partnerships with external stakeholders.” Each segment will operate with greater autonomy, responsibility, and flexibility, allowing for better alignment with customer needs, market dynamics, and innovations while maintaining the common capabilities, culture, and values that define the company.
In light of these changes, Nick Alexos, currently an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will assume a role as a member of the Univar Solutions Board of Directors. “Nick's numerous contributions, especially during the transformation from a public to a private company, are invaluable. I am incredibly grateful for his partnership and look forward to our collaboration on the Board,” Jukes noted.
The revamped structure, centered on customer needs, leverages the strengths of Univar's platform. It allows teams to engage closely with customers and positions the company to compete and grow effectively across diverse target markets. As leadership progresses to this next chapter in the company's journey, additional executive announcements pertinent to the organizational structure will be shared as needed.
