Envision Energy Celebrates Its Third Year of Carbon Neutrality at Smarter E Europe with New 2025 Net Zero Report

Envision Energy Presents Its 2025 Net Zero Action Report

At the recent Smarter E Europe held in Munich, Envision Energy, a trailblazer in green technology, unveiled its 2025 Net Zero Action Report. The company proudly marked its third consecutive year of achieving carbon neutrality, reaching a significant milestone in its sustainability journey. By attaining operational carbon neutrality for three years in a row since 2022 and achieving 100% renewable electricity use in 2024, Envision surpassed its RE100 commitment ahead of schedule.

Significant Emission Reductions

The released report indicates that Envision's Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions stood at only 7,089 tonnes CO₂ equivalent in 2024—a remarkable reduction from a baseline of 84,000 tonnes. This translates to a dramatic 91% decrease in emissions, amounting to approximately 77,000 tonnes, achieved through improved energy efficiency measures and a robust reliance on both on-site and off-site renewable electricity. Furthermore, by the conclusion of 2024, the total emissions avoided by Envision's delivered products is estimated to be around 2.35 billion tonnes worldwide, highlighting the company's significant impact on global carbon reduction.

Committed to Sustainable Supply Chains

Promoting a sustainable supply chain is central to Envision’s strategic approach to sustainability. The company has made strides by integrating net-zero technologies and digital empowerment into its operations. By the end of 2024, all major suppliers joined Envision's EnOS Ark Carbon Management System, with 18% already utilizing 100% green electricity in their supply processes. Envision’s goal is to ensure full adoption of green power across its primary supply chain by 2028.

Envision has also taken the lead in advancing industry standards for carbon footprint management. By collaborating with sectors such as batteries and photovoltaics, the company aims to develop a comprehensive, standardized product carbon footprint database, addressing critical gaps in data and promoting higher competitiveness among companies.

Innovations in Hydrogen Production

A pioneering project by Envision, based in Chifeng, successfully attained certification by Bureau Veritas for its green hydrogen and ammonia production as renewable ammonia. At Smarter E Europe 2025, the company was awarded TÜV SÜD's Carbon Footprint Certification for its Euro-standard energy storage cabinets—marking the first public acknowledgment of its kind, thus setting a new industry standard.

AI-Powered Transformation

At the heart of Envision's ongoing transformation is the seamless incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) across its renewable energy offerings. Through the application of AI algorithms and comprehensive technology solutions, the company developed an AI-driven wind turbine system. This innovative system facilitates real-time optimization of renewable energy outputs and grid interactions. Additionally, Envision has developed AI models for forecasting essential parameters, including weather and power pricing, fundamentally transforming how renewables participate in the energy market.

Model Industrial Parks for the Future

Envision is also spearheading the establishment of innovative net-zero industrial parks by integrating sustainable green energy and manufacturing. The world’s first net-zero industrial park, launched in Ordos, set the stage for the company’s latest Green Hydrogen-Ammonia project in Chifeng, which recently commenced the production of its first 300,000 tonnes. Following this, Envision plans the launch of a Net-Zero Hydrogen Industrial Park in Spain, dedicated to hydrogen equipment production and green hydrogen generation, aiding Europe’s transition towards decarbonization.

Building a Cross-Sector Ecosystem

Envision’s commitment to forming a net-zero technology ecosystem has yielded fruitful collaborations across various sectors. In partnership with Starbucks, the Starbucks Coffee Innovation Park has been transformed into an entirely sustainable campus powered by renewable energy, effectively reducing about 78,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Working with Merck China, Envision is progressing in green energy procurement and carbon management to further support their 2040 climate goals.

Additionally, a significant green ammonia offtake agreement was established with Marubeni Corporation, underlining the commercial viability of Envision’s innovative solutions and setting new global benchmarks.

As the company asserts, net-zero solutions are essential in today’s climate agenda. Envision Energy will persist in collaborating with like-minded organizations worldwide, advancing a shared vision of sustainable levels of prosperity and combating climate change effectively.
