Empowering Elementary Students Through Entrepreneurial Skills in Japan's Gifu Prefecture

SAMURAI Entrepreneur Club Launches in Gifu's Public School

In a groundbreaking initiative supporting young minds, the SAMURAI Foundation, based in Tokyo, announces its first public school entrepreneurship club, the SAMURAI Entrepreneur Club. Starting on July 10, 2026, this program will cater specifically to fifth and sixth grade students at Koubun Elementary School in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. This endeavor marks a significant step towards making entrepreneurial education accessible to students from all backgrounds.

Following successful implementations in private schools, Koubun Elementary becomes the first public institution to host this program, a testament to the foundation's vision of fostering entrepreneurial spirit among children nationwide. With a total capacity of 14 students, the program aims to provide an engaging after-school experience from July 2026 until February 2027, completely free of charge.

Why Koubun Elementary?

Koubun Elementary School is situated in Ogaki City, a region with a robust industrial foundation centered on manufacturing. The local government plays an active role in enhancing educational environments for future generations. By launching the program in a public school, the SAMURAI Foundation exemplifies its commitment to offering opportunities for entrepreneurial thinking to all children, regardless of their socio-economic contexts. The club serves as a model for potentially replicating such programs across various public schools throughout Japan.
