E Tech Group to Present at Automation Fair 2026

E Tech Group, recognized as the 2025 System Integrator of the Year, is set to present on modernizing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) critical building management systems at the Automation Fair 2026. This event will take place from November 16-19 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Michael Roy, Principal Engineering Manager at E Tech Group, will discuss the upgrade of building management control systems for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Greater Boston area, integrating the advanced PlantPAx system from Rockwell Automation.

Presentation Details

During the Automation Fair, Michael Roy will conduct two presentation sessions titled "PS21 – Modernizing GMP-Critical Building Management in Pharmaceutical Facilities." The sessions are scheduled for November 17 at 1:00 PM ET and November 19 at 10:00 AM ET in Room 253C. Attendees will learn about the extensive considerations involved in modernizing aging air handler controls in GMP-critical environments. The project aims to ensure continued operation of the facility while addressing stringent data integrity, reliability, and compliance requirements.

E Tech Group's modernization project represents a significant advancement in building management system architecture. The newly implemented PlantPAx-based system ensures not only immediate upgrades but also sets the stage for future enhancements throughout the facility. Roy will elaborate on crucial engineering aspects, such as network design, validation processes, and cutover strategies critical for successful upgrades in highly regulated production settings.

Ensuring Compliance and Reliability

"Modernizing a GMP-critical system requires careful planning to protect the operational conditions that the facility relies upon every day," Roy stated. This reformative step aims to balance the urgent modernization needs while accommodating future expansions and upgrades of plant systems.

At Booth #745 during the fair, E Tech Group will welcome attendees to meet with their engineering team and life sciences specialists. Industry experts will discuss innovative solutions for controls modernization and automation, emphasizing scalable architectures designed specifically for regulated manufacturing environments.

Visitors can expect a live demonstration of SecureOT™, a cybersecurity solution from Rockwell Automation that emphasizes the importance of visibility into operational technology assets, aiding organizations in creating proactive cybersecurity strategies.
