Huawei Unveils Fintelligent AI Solution to Empower Financial Institutions Globally
In a significant move towards enhancing AI integration in the financial sector, Huawei unveiled the Fintelligent AI Solution during the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 event held in Shanghai. Jason Cao, the CEO of Huawei's Digital Finance Business Unit, delivered a keynote titled "Own AI, Own Intelligence," asserting the company's commitment to helping financial institutions navigate the complexities of artificial intelligence.
The Fintelligent AI Solution is designed to tackle key challenges faced by financial organizations when deploying AI at scale, such as security, scalability, and sustainability. By utilizing three intelligent factories — the Agent Factory, Token Factory, and Data Knowledge Factory — Huawei aims to empower institutions to continually develop their AI architecture, agent capabilities, and token operations throughout their lifecycle.
Cao emphasized that the competition in financial AI is shifting from merely having model capabilities to fully-integrated enterprise AI system capabilities. He highlighted the necessity for financial platforms to possess their own AI, enabling them to choose and evolve their AI solutions independently.
The Agent Factory is specifically structured to enable banks to create, launch, and manage agents at scale, thus transitioning AI from isolated applications to comprehensive enterprise analytics while supporting the accumulation, reuse, and unified management of agent assets. Huawei’s openJiuwen platform — an open-source agent platform — plays a crucial role in facilitating this multi-agent collaboration.
In developing its Token Factory, Huawei introduced TokeNexus, a lifecycle token operations solution that simplifies token planning, production, intelligent scheduling, and global optimization. TokeNexus intends to standardize operations and management across the entire token lifecycle, thus allowing financial institutions to scale their AI capabilities while controlling costs and maintaining operational reliability.
Furthermore, the Data Knowledge Factory aims to transform raw financial data into actionable knowledge that agents can comprehend and trust, gradually accumulating domain-specific insights for each bank. At the summit, Huawei also launched the Financial Agentic Data Solution, which uses data and knowledge pipelines to deliver high-quality data continuously to financial agents, ensuring valuable knowledge is consistently passed on.
As part of its strategy to modernize financial operations, Huawei employs an ontology-driven approach to convert valuable, often hidden business rules into reusable knowledge assets that facilitate AI comprehension. This approach accelerates the modernization of core legacy systems.
The event brought together representatives from banking, insurance, and securities industries, allowing Huawei to launch the 2026 Huawei Global Financial Lighthouse initiative which highlighted nine leading practices to guide the digital and intelligent transformation in the global financial sector.
With over 16 years of involvement in the financial industry, Huawei boasts a clientele of over 7,100 financial customers across more than 80 countries, including 54 of the world’s top 100 banks. This deep-rooted expertise positions Huawei as a key player in driving the future of intelligent financial operations.
Through the Fintelligent AI Solution, Huawei aims not only to provide advanced AI tools but also to facilitate a holistic approach to AI deployment, ensuring that financial institutions can thrive in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven landscape. As they navigate the transition to agentic finance, organizations can leverage Huawei’s innovative solutions to deepen their AI integration and enhance their operational capabilities.
