Verkada Launches Nominations for the 2025 Safety Champion Awards

Everyone is encouraged to submit nominations until July 16, 2025, across three distinguished categories: Impact Award, Security Professional Excellence Award, and School Safety Excellence Award.

During its inaugural awards last year, Verkada honored impressive figures such as retired Lieutenant Ben Jones from the Winston-Salem Police Department for the Impact Award, Steve Camsey from The Salvation Army for the Security Professional Excellence Award, and Jamie Lewsadder from La Cañada School District for the School Safety Excellence Award.

Retired Lt. Benjamin Jones, who previously received the Impact Award, expressed, "The dedication and commitment of safety professionals inspiring communities is what motivates us. Impact Award

This category recognizes an individual whose contributions have significantly improved the safety and security of their community or organization. The recipient will be awarded a substantial monetary donation of $15,000 to further their initiatives.

Security Professional Excellence Award

This award is aimed at a physical security professional who has shown incredible skill, innovation, and commitment in utilizing technology to enhance security measures. The winning individual will be granted a $10,000 monetary donation.

School Safety Excellence Award

This category celebrates schools or universities that effectively utilize Verkada products to spearhead vital safety initiatives aimed at anticipating security challenges. The recipient organization will receive $50,000 worth of Verkada products to ensure continued efforts in student safety and well-being.
