LINE School Communication Tool Launches Collection Feature
On October 1, LINE Yahoo Corporation announced the introduction of a new collection feature for its "LINE School Communication Tool." This innovative feature aims to ease the payment burdens that schools and parents often face, by offering some of the lowest processing fees in the industry.
Overview of LINE School Communication Tool
The "LINE School Communication Tool" provides a platform for communication between schools and parents through the use of the LINE official account. This tool is specifically tailored for educational institutions and offers free basic functionalities. With the new collection feature, schools will be able to manage their payment operations directly through their LINE accounts, streamlining the entire collection process.
Starting from October 1, 2025, the collection feature becomes part of the "LINE School Communication Tool Basic Plan" as an optional enhancement. This addition enables schools to send payment requests to parents, automate reminders based on payment deadlines, and monitor payment statuses via a dedicated management interface for school staff. Notifications for payment requests and reminders will be sent directly to parents through the school's LINE account, allowing them to proceed with payments right from the chat, thus helping to reduce the chances of missed updates and forgotten payments.
Advantages for Parents and Schools
Parents will have multiple payment options, including direct debit and, soon, credit card and convenience store payments, adapting to their individual preferences. This flexibility allows for a smoother financial transaction experience, benefiting both parties involved.
By utilizing this feature, schools can automate various administrative tasks related to collections, such as managing account registrations, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances. Consequently, this automation leads to a significant reduction in workload for educators, allowing them to focus more on their core responsibilities. For parents, the ease of the payment process translates to a more efficient experience without unnecessary complications.
The collection function will be available at a competitive service fee of 1.79%, regarded as one of the lowest rates in the industry. This structure ensures that the exchange of payments remains both safe and streamlined, minimizing financial stress on schools and parents.
Additionally, a free usage campaign is being launched for schools that apply for the collection feature by August 20. This initiative will provide the service at no cost, including transaction fees, until the end of March 2026 for selected public elementary, middle, and high schools.
Campaign Details
To qualify for the free campaign, schools must submit their application by August 20, 2025, and agree to use the feature starting in October 2025. They are also required to participate in surveys and interviews regarding the use of the collection feature for case studies until the end of January 2026. This initiative will be limited to a total of 10 schools: five public elementary and middle schools and five high schools.
How to Apply for the Collection Feature
Interested schools should reach out via the contact form available on the Ace Child website, specifying their interest in the collection feature, their willingness to cooperate for case studies, and whether they wish to opt for paid utilization if they do not qualify for the free campaign.
