Three New Organizations Join JSPO to Enhance Sports Environment

JSPO Welcomes New Members to Strengthen Sports Community

On June 25, the Japan Sports Association (JSPO), located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, officially welcomed three new organizations to its community. This decision was made during its annual council meeting for the 2023 fiscal year. The newly accepted organizations include the Japan Park Golf Association as a provisional member, while the Japan Automobile Federation and the Japan Esports Union have been recognized as approved organizations.

With these additions, the total membership of JSPO now stands at 129 organizations, comprising 115 full members, 9 provisional members, and 5 approved organizations. This growth reflects JSPO's ongoing commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can engage in sports throughout their lives.

Introduction of New Organizations

Japan Park Golf Association (Provisional Member)

The Japan Park Golf Association aims to promote the sport of park golf, which only requires a single club and ball, making it accessible for anyone. Founded in Makubetsu, Hokkaido, the association focuses on certifying instructors, courses, and equipment while conducting various tournaments, including international and national championships. In 2019, it collaborated with organizations from seven countries, including Japan, South Korea, and Brazil, to establish the International Park Golf Federation, furthering the sport’s international reach.

It oversees the creation and enforcement of competition regulations, issues licenses, manages events, and conducts safety inspections for race courses. The Federation is also active in organizing events for newcomers and expanding its fan base, striving to promote and develop motorsports within Japan. Additionally, it provides road services 24/7 and ensures the healthy growth and safety of motorsports as the nationally recognized governing body.
