57 Dogs Rescued from Horrific Backyard Breeder Conditions in Lexington, TN

In a heart-wrenching rescue operation dubbed “Operation Breathless,” the Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) came to the aid of 57 dogs and puppies living in appalling conditions at a backyard breeding facility in Lexington, Tennessee. This emergency response followed a tip-off from the Lexington Police Department, who were alerted to a troubling number of dogs residing in a single home.

Upon arrival, officers were met with an overwhelming stench of ammonia, a telltale sign of excessive animal waste and the harsh chemicals often used in attempts to mask such neglect.
