Belmont Medical Technologies Welcomes Brian Larkin as New CEO

Belmont Medical Technologies, a significant player in the medical sector, has officially announced the appointment of Brian Larkin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This strategic move comes as the company transitions from the leadership of Brian Ellacott, who has guided Belmont since its acquisition by Audax Private Equity in 2017. Ellacott will continue to serve on the Board as Executive Chair, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of vision.

Larkin's extensive background encompasses over thirty years in medical technology, emphasizing his capability to steer organizations toward operational excellence and market expansion. His track record illustrates a blend of leadership acumen and strategic foresight, making him a promising fit for Belmont's future direction.

Prior to joining Belmont, Larkin held the position of President and CEO at Comar, a medical packaging and device manufacturer, successfully leading the company through a significant transformation that culminated in its profitable exit to Precision Concepts International in late 2025. His prior experience includes notable tenures at SP Industries, LifeCell, and Integra LifeSciences, where he directed key initiatives that spurred both financial growth and product innovation.

In his inaugural statement, Larkin expressed his enthusiasm about joinin, stating, “Belmont has a proud mission of saving lives with The Belmont® Rapid Infuser RI-2 and temperature management products. I am honored to join a company with such innovative products and customer trust. I look forward to working with the Belmont team to maintain the company's positive momentum and lead the next stage of growth.” This mission-centered approach is reflective of Belmont’s commitment to driving advancements in medical technology that directly contribute to patient outcomes.

Ellacott echoed Larkin’s sentiments, highlighting his extensive experience in medical devices and patient-care products, which aligns seamlessly with Belmont's innovative culture. “Brian is a thoughtful, performance-driven leader and represents a compelling fit for our mission to deliver breakthrough healthcare solutions,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of strong leadership in maintaining Belmont's upward trajectory.

Tim Porter, Managing Director at Audax Private Equity, also welcomed Larkin, emphasizing his impressive leadership background in the medical technology field. Porter pointed out that Larkin's understanding of scaling complex businesses will be invaluable as Belmont continues to innovate and develop critical care products that not only enhance patient outcomes but also save lives.

As Larkin steps into his new role, he inherits a legacy of exceptional growth under Ellacott’s guidance. The company has witnessed substantial expansion, growing nearly fourfold since the investment by Audax Private Equity. Young Lee, Partner and Co-President at Audax, acknowledged Ellacott’s invaluable leadership and the major impact he had on Belmont, wishing him success and fulfillment in his retirement.

Belmont Medical Technologies remains at the forefront of fluid resuscitation and patient temperature management solutions, known for its flagship product, The Belmont® Rapid Infuser RI-2. This advanced device utilizes innovative technology to ensure precise control of fluid temperature and flow rate during critical resuscitation efforts.

With an eye towards the future, Larkin’s leadership is poised to not only uphold the high standards of quality and innovation that Belmon is known for but also to leverage his extensive experience to explore new frontiers in medical technology, ensuring that Belmont remains a trusted partner in the healthcare community worldwide.

As the industry continues to evolve, the appointment of Brian Larkin is a significant development for Belmont Medical Technologies, promising an era of enhanced innovation and considerable impact on patient care.
