Seminar Overview
On July 27, 2025, a significant event took place in Takeshiba, Tokyo, co-hosted by Asno System Co., Ltd., Toyo System Science Co., Ltd., and Solubis Co., Ltd. The seminar titled "Women’s Health Challenges & Careers: Learning from Real Experiences on Work Styles and Well-Being" gathered 25 participants eager to explore health issues affecting women in the workplace. Attendees engaged in discussions that encouraged introspection and dialogue, highlighting the need for more awareness on these crucial topics.
Keynote Speech
The seminar featured a keynote address by Kuniko Matsuzawa, a counselor affiliated with Nishitan ART Clinic. Matsuzawa emphasized the importance of understanding women’s hormonal health across various life stages. Through her talk, she shed light on prevalent health issues among women, their causes, and mitigations. The conversation also touched on infertility, revealing that 1 in 4 couples in Japan are currently seeking infertility treatments, thereby illustrating the issue’s proximity in modern society.
Matsuzawa also introduced the concept of "Preconception Care," urging women to adopt a healthy lifestyle and gain knowledge early on, regardless of their aspirations for motherhood.
Panel Discussion
Following the keynote, three speakers from diverse backgrounds shared their personal journeys: Kumi Mikami from Asno System, Yuriko Fujii from Toyo System Science, and Yuka Tamura from Solubis. Each narrated their battles with various health challenges while navigating their careers, such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), gynecological disorders, and the emotional toll of infertility treatments. Their candid stories offered a rare glimpse into how they managed their personal struggles alongside their professional ambitions.
The discussion, moderated by Matsuzawa, allowed participants to interact freely, asking questions and sharing insights. This exchange fostered a sense of community, enabling attendees to consider different perspectives regarding women's health challenges.
Workshop Activity
To conclude the seminar, participants engaged in a self-introduction Bingo activity, where they shared their thoughts and values based on preset themes, encouraging connections based on commonalities. This interactive session prompted attendees to reflect deeply on their beliefs, proving beneficial for personal growth and understanding.
Reflections and Future Topics
Feedback from attendees affirmed the value of this gathering. Many expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn about the varying health issues women face, often exacerbated by age and societal expectations. Suggested future topics included life planning, mental health concerns, and strategies for addressing specific female health conditions.
