Japan Policy Innovation Summit 2026
In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the Japan Policy School is excited to announce the
Japan Policy Innovation Summit 2026, which will take place on
February 28, 2026. This event aims to explore the theme of
leadership and human values in the age of AI, targeting individuals interested in improving Japan's future across various sectors, including politics, administration, social issues, and business management.
The Japan Policy School has dedicated itself to nurturing talent in the field of policy and social issues, and this summit will serve as a platform for practitioners at the forefront to share their insights. Participants will engage in dialogues that transcend disciplines and perspectives, allowing us to collectively reflect on the future of society.
Event Background
With the rapid advancements in AI and generative technologies, we are witnessing a significant transformation in how societal decisions are made and how organizations operate. While many tasks are becoming automated and sophisticated, critical questions arise regarding the roles humans must take on moving forward, how decisions are made, and who bears the responsibility for these choices.
In response to this backdrop, the Japan Policy School has organized the summit as a venue for sharing perspectives that transcend technology’s evolution and human roles, as well as institutional and ground realities. Participants will have the opportunity to contemplate leadership in the AI era, the intrinsic value of humanity, and their relationship with society and themselves from multiple viewpoints. This event encourages each participant to draw insights relevant to their own context and experiences.
Gathering Industry Experts
The summit will feature keynotes and panel discussions by a range of accomplished speakers from sectors such as policy, administration, social business, and management. Among the speakers are:
- - Hiroshi Suzuki, Professor at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy and former Vice Minister of Education, who also leads the renowned social innovation program celebrated as the “Matsushita Village School of the Heisei Era.”
- - Masataka Suzuki, COO of Borderless Japan, who spearheads efforts to cultivate social entrepreneurs and launch new initiatives.
