FORVAL Awarded DX Project in Satsumasendai City
FORVAL, headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, has exemplified its commitment to empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by securing the contract for the "Satsumasendai City SME DX Support Project" for two consecutive years. This initiative is aligned with the company’s motto, "Creating a New World with New Norms," and emphasizes a visible and supportive approach to ESG management by acting as a business doctor—a next-generation management consultancy team led by President Masanori Nakajima.
Background and Objectives of the Contract
The project is a continuation of efforts that began in the fiscal year preceding the current one, not just aimed at promoting digital transformation (DX) among local SMEs but also driven by pressing local issues. With Satsumasendai City facing challenges such as population decline and an aging demographic, sustaining local businesses has become crucial. Collaborating with the local government, FORVAL aims to enhance productivity and operational efficiency through digital transformation, thereby revitalizing the regional economy.
In the previous fiscal year, several businesses that participated received individual support from specialists, allowing them to adopt digital tools and achieve business improvements. The outcomes generated momentum for DX initiatives within the region. Carrying that success into the current year, FORVAL has expanded its support scope and strength in promoting exemplary case studies of DX applications. In July, a seminar aimed at promoting understanding of DX was held, leading to the selection of six proactive companies that began comprehensive support from August onward.
Details of the Project Implementation
The project includes several key components:
1.
DX Understanding Promotion Seminar: FORVAL conducts seminars aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of DX among local businesses.
2.
Specialist Support for DX Initiatives: Six selected companies from the seminar receive tailored support from experts who identify and visualize each company’s management challenges. This section of the support includes assistance for integrating digital tools, backed by governmental funding to enhance efficacy.
A follow-up with companies aided in the previous year ensures that they continue on the path of transformation, primarily through online consultations, up to two times per company.
3.
Results Presentation Event: A showcase event will present successful case studies from participating businesses, offering a chance to share their experiences and promote the effectiveness of DX to other local companies. This event is set for February 10th, 2025, combining in-person attendance at the SS Plaza Sendai with online streaming.
