AEON's Hao Chinese Academy Introduces Online Chinese Exam Preparation Courses
AEON, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo and headed by Takashi Shigeno, operates the Hao Chinese Academy. In preparation for the upcoming Chinese proficiency test (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, or HSK) set for June 2026, Hao will commence two new online courses starting this May. The programs,
Intensive Short Course consisting of four sessions, and a
Final Preparation Seminar featuring two sessions will provide targeted training for levels 2 and 3 of the HSK.
Course Overview
The
Intensive Short Course, designed with a focus on pivotal subjects from specified textbooks, aims to clarify key grammatical points through interactive discussions. Classes are limited to a maximum of
six students, ensuring personalized attention for each participant. The interactive format fosters open communication where students can engage by asking questions and sharing insights. This approach addresses individual learning hurdles that participants might encounter in a larger classroom or self-study environment, enhancing the learning experience through focused guidance toward achieving their certification goals.
In June, the
Final Preparation Seminar will be held just before the examination. This session accommodates up to
30 participants and includes practical insights from past exam papers, sweeping over critical areas to sharpen students' scoring abilities.
Success Stories
Following AEON's previous online preparation course for the HSK levels 2 and 3 conducted last November, many attendees shared their success stories. Comments included, "I passed with nearly full marks (level 3)" and "I correctly answered all pinyin questions, which typically have a low success rate (level 3)."
Special Offers
For this semester, AEON is introducing a
special combined rate for those opting to enroll in both the Intensive Short Course and the Final Preparation Seminar, priced at
19,800 yen (including tax). This special is a
1,100 yen saving compared to enrolling in each session separately.
Furthermore, for students who may be uncertain about committing, a free session will take place on
May 16, allowing prospective learners to experience the teaching style and course structure firsthand. This introductory session includes exclusive benefits to participants, such as personalized preparatory materials.
Commitment to Quality Education
At Hao, the focus extends beyond rote learning or individualistic self-study; it emphasizes mastering foundational skills in pronunciation and grammar systematically. The academy works continually to foster a motivating and supportive atmosphere through various lectures and seminars, including a recent special lecture featuring the board chairman of the Chinese Proficiency Test Association.
Hao Chinese Academy remains dedicated to enhancing the language proficiency of its students, affirmatively supporting their journey to improve their Chinese language skills.
