Healthtech Summit 2026: Pitch Contest Now Open
The Healthtech Summit organizing committee is excited to announce the opening of entries for the
Healthtech Summit 2026, a global conference dedicated to advancements in health technology. Scheduled for
December 6-7, 2026, this year's summit will feature a prominent
pitch contest aimed at showcasing the latest innovations in this vital sector. The submission period runs from
August 17 to September 30, 2026.
Pitch Contest Details
The pitch contest seeks out entrepreneurs poised to lead the next wave of health technology innovations. From the pool of applicants,
eight finalists will be chosen through a rigorous selection process, which includes scoring and voting. These finalists will pitch their ideas on the second day of the summit, allowing for a
five-minute presentation followed by an
eight-minute Q&A session with judges. The contest aims to determine the recipient of the top award, which comes with a
cash prize of 1 million yen.
In past editions, many participants have leveraged the pitch competition to significantly enhance their networks, forming partnerships with established companies and securing funding, thereby accelerating their growth trajectories. We eagerly anticipate applications from a diverse array of entrepreneurs ready to make their mark.

About the Healthtech Summit
The theme for this year's summit is
“Who Leads Care?”, which focuses on defining our evolving relationship with AI in healthcare. This past year, AI has drastically changed the healthcare landscape. Its integration has become an inevitability, challenging all medical professionals to confront this technology as part of their fundamental responsibilities.
The ongoing discussion revolves around the nature of our partnership with AI. Will AI provide support, coexist alongside humans, or function as a guide? This year's theme poses essential questions for healthcare practitioners and leaders. I envision a future for healthcare that balances efficiency with trust and warmth toward patients.
The summit, now in its twelfth iteration, will cover everything from drug discovery to healthcare delivery and data utilization. Through numerous live demonstrations, startup pitches, and direct networking opportunities, the goal is to paint a picture of the future of healthcare emerging from Japan and Asia.
The forum will serve as a platform for dialogue beyond various roles and sectors, providing insights into the shared dynamics of healthcare and AI. The absence of a single solution emphasizes the importance of this two-day gathering where diverse stakeholders can collaborate. Bring your own inquiries, fostering collective thinking on the future of healthcare and AI.
