Experience the Christmas Wonderland with Sustainable Rose Installations in Hibiya Park, Tokyo

A Sustainable Christmas Wonderland in Hibiya Park

As the festive season approaches, the renowned Hibiya Flower Company is set to unveil a captivating Christmas installation titled "Rose Noel" in Hibiya Park's flagship store. From December 1 to December 25, 2025, this special event promises a unique blend of horticultural artistry and eco-conscious design.

A Floral Festivity

The centerpiece of the "Rose Noel" installation is the original paper craft designed by Kazuyoshi Kanno of the design company nekonekodesign PAPER ARTS. Drawing inspiration from the beauty of roses, this installation artfully combines the elegance of premium red roses with a backdrop of white and gold paper crafts, illuminating the sophisticated aesthetic of the Christmas season.

These impressive paper crafts utilize eco-friendly materials made from plant-based biomass resin, aligning with sustainability goals while showcasing greenery's luxurious appeal. The installation will feature a striking 7.5-meter-tall window adorned with intricate paper shadows that playfully interact with the light. As you enter the store, you are invited to immerse yourself in a truly artistic experience that transforms the entire building into a festive masterpiece.

Immersive Experiences Await

The installation will be available for purchase at a price of 2 million yen (excluding tax and shipping). This artistic display showcases a commitment to both beauty and environmental responsibility, radiating a warmth that reflects the Christmas spirit.

Kazuyoshi Kanno expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "I'm thrilled to adorn the historic Hibiya Flower Company with paper art. The high-quality flowers truly enhance the delicate, intricate paper cuttings, elevating the overall experience. I hope many visitors will come to enjoy this immersive space."

Similarly, Akemi Hoshi, Executive Florist at Hibiya Flower Company, emphasized the importance of balancing sustainability with elegance in design. She remarked, "This design combines natural materials and the delicate artistry of nekonekodesign PAPER ARTS to create a captivating environment that evokes emotions and showcases both scale and sustainability."

Rose Christmas Tree: A Floral Delight

In addition to the installation, visitors will be greeted by a stunning "Rose Christmas Tree". Comprised of deep red roses, each carefully placed in a gleaming golden vase, this tree epitomizes refined floral elegance. It reflects the company’s dedication to sourcing the finest roses, ensuring a breathtaking display of nature’s beauty.

The roses featured in this installation are sourced from the highly regarded Fine Rose Tanaka Rose Garden in Saga Prefecture, renowned for producing some of the highest-quality roses using abundant groundwater. This limited-time offering will introduce visitors to the charm and richness of roses seldom found in the Kanto region.

Commitment to Sustainability

Hibiya Flower Company has a robust commitment to environmental sustainability, as evidenced by their registration as a "Chiyo Eco Future Enterprise" in June 2025. This initiative aligns with Chiyoda Ward's environmental policies, leveraging renewable energy produced by local municipalities to power their Christmas tree lighting.

The Sustainable Christmas Tree will feature a locally sourced fir tree from the renowned fir-growing region of Tsumagoi Village in Gunma Prefecture. By utilizing 100% renewable energy generated from this area, Hibiya Flower Company aims to contribute to regional revitalization and a carbon-neutral society.

This tree will also be decorated with eco-friendly paper ornaments crafted by Kazuyoshi Kanno, enhancing the festive atmosphere while remaining environmentally conscientious. The complete set, including the tree and ornaments, will be available for purchase at 250,000 yen (excluding tax and shipping).

Looking Ahead

Moving forward, Hibiya Flower Company aims to enhance its community collaborations, addressing environmental issues through partnerships with producers, distributors, and all stakeholders involved in their operations. This Christmas season, visitors can expect more than just aesthetics; they will experience how floral artistry can harmonize with a commitment to sustainability. Embrace the festive spirit in a uniquely enchanting way and witness the beauty of nature and creativity working hand in hand.
