Paul Vallis Takes the Helm as CEO of Lubrication Engineers, Pioneering Future Growth

Paul Vallis to Lead Lubrication Engineers into New Era

Lubrication Engineers (LE), a prominent name in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of high-performance industrial lubricants and asset reliability solutions, has announced the appointment of Paul Vallis as its new Chief Executive Officer. This change comes as the company gears up for further expansion and adaptation within the industry. Vallis succeeds Eric Borland, who has been a pivotal figure in the company for 18 years and will now serve as the Chairman of LE's Board of Directors.

Paul Vallis brings extensive experience to his new role, having previously served as President of the Filtration and Catalysis Group at Alkegen. His background is marked by a successful track record in premium, branded industrial products, with significant achievements in commercial strategy, research and development, and manufacturing excellence. Vallis holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

In a statement about his appointment, Vallis expressed his enthusiasm for joining LE at such a dynamic moment in its history. He emphasized the importance of LE's reputation and values that were instrumental in attracting him to the role. Vallis noted, "I look forward to learning from the team, listening to our customers, and helping guide the next chapter of growth while preserving what has made LE successful for so many years."

Reflecting on the transition, Eric Borland acknowledged the guiding principles that have fueled the company’s growth — focusing on People, Process, and Products. He expressed confidence in Vallis’s ability to steer LE towards realizing its full potential, stating, "The simplistic approach to focus on People, Process, and Products has proven to be the key ingredient to our growth and success. I welcome Paul as our new CEO, and I am confident he will help LE achieve its full potential."

Under Borland's leadership, LE has transformed from a niche manufacturer into a global leader in asset reliability solutions. His tenure has seen the company achieve substantial organic growth and complete five strategic acquisitions. Borland’s strategic oversight has been a cornerstone for LE, enhancing not only its operational efficiency but also its market presence across various industries.

Established in 1951, Lubrication Engineers has a long-standing commitment to developing, manufacturing, and marketing premium lubricants, which, along with a comprehensive set of reliability-enhancing solutions, are crafted to extend the life of equipment, reduce energy usage, and decrease maintenance expenditures. LE operates under an ISO 9001 Certified Quality System and serves clients in over 60 countries, supported by its 150,000-square-foot production facility located in Wichita, Kansas.

As Paul Vallis steps into the role of CEO, he follows a leader whose legacy is characterized by vision and strategic transformation. The company's future prospects look optimistic as Vallis prepares to implement strategies that align with LE's mission to maintain its excellence in the lubrication industry.

Heading into 2026, the market will be keen to observe how Vallis leverages his experience and vision to further enhance Lubrication Engineers' position as a leader in the field, ensuring sustained growth and continued success for the company and its stakeholders.
