On May 5, 2026, GoodWe unveiled its innovative Warm Homes all-in-one solution during a prominent launch event held in London. This event drew close to 150 industry leaders and market experts, fostering an engaging atmosphere for idea-sharing and discussion. GoodWe's solution harmoniously integrates solar energy, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, heating, and intelligent energy management into a unified system. This integration is designed to empower homeowners to more effectively access clean energy while simultaneously reducing their energy expenses.

Daniel Huang, the founder and CEO of GoodWe, emphasized the transformative ambitions of the UK's Warm Homes Plan during his opening speech. He stated, "The UK’s Warm Homes Plan outlines a clear direction to convert homes into active energy units. This means that households will no longer merely consume energy; instead, they will also generate and manage it. We refer to this as energy prosumers."

The demand for residential solar energy in the UK is on the rise, highlighted by Markus A.W. Hoehner, founder and CEO of EUPD Group. He noted that the market is structurally poised for rapid adoption of both solar photovoltaics and battery storage. This trend is further bolstered by installers, with nearly all providers offering combined PV and storage solutions as standard residential packages throughout the UK.

In January 2026, the UK government announced an ambitious £15 billion Warm Homes Plan aimed at modernizing up to five million homes by 2030. Approximately £5 billion will be allocated for fully funded modernization packages for low-income households, while a mix of subsidized loans with low or zero interest rates will incentivize the adoption of solar systems, batteries, and heat pumps in homes.

GoodWe's Warm Homes All-in-One Solution encompasses key market essentials, including building-integrated photovoltaics (BIVP), an inverter and storage system like the ESA series, electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, and energy management features. The solution allows for a self-consumption rate of up to 70%, considerably decreasing energy bills and emissions.

To meet the diverse residential conditions, GoodWe also provides a compact micro-storage solution for social housing and tight-space dwellings. This ensures easy access to clean energy with minimal hassle. During the launch event, GoodWe introduced its concept: "One System, One Provider, One Service". This streamlining means a simpler installation process with fewer compatibility issues for installers, and a more seamless experience for homeowners, fostering reliability.

Central to this offering is the ESA energy storage system, which unites a solar inverter with modular batteries and an intelligent energy management system. Designed under GoodWe's “4S System” concept—Silent, Smart, Safe, and Simple—the ESA series aims to deliver high performance combined with a user-friendly experience.

Considering noise is a significant factor in residential technology integration, GoodWe has ensured that even its three-phase ESA models operate at just 30 dB (5~8 kW at 25 °C ambient temperature). This is achieved through custom low-noise fans, real-time adaptability to operational conditions, and a user-actuated ultra-quiet mode.

Additionally, GoodWe, in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland, released a pioneering technical report focusing on the acoustic performance of photovoltaic and energy storage systems. This report aims to provide technical insights on noise optimization in residential settings and other contexts, marking it as the first industry technical report dedicated to noise reduction within photovoltaic and energy storage systems. Aditya Lyer, TÜV Rheinland’s key account manager, emphasized the necessity for clearer industry standards regarding noise levels for residential energy storage systems. “This would help define acceptable noise thresholds and ensure these systems are designed to minimize disturbances in densely populated areas,” he remarked.

As part of its ongoing commitment to smart energy solutions, GoodWe formalized a new partnership with Kraken during the London launch, enabling integration with virtual power plants (VPP) and energy management systems (EMS). GoodWe has successfully achieved compatibility with Kraken, the technology platform behind Octopus Energy’s smart tariffs in the UK.
