In an effort to invigorate corporate venture capital (CVC) investments, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is hosting a seminar aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups. This event focuses on facilitating matches between CVCs and these businesses, ultimately assisting in their growth through increased funding opportunities.

Set for March 4, 2026, from 18:00 to 20:00, the seminar is designed to provide essential insights into the CVC landscape for interested SMEs and startups. Attendees will not only learn about the needs of 10 different selected CVCs but will also have the chance for individual consultations, making this an ideal opportunity for those looking to expand their business through collaboration with larger corporations.

  • - Bonus: Participants will receive the unique "CVC Trends Report," compiled from a survey of 77 CVCs conducted in 2025.

How to Join


Interested participants must fill out the registration form for the seminar. Priority will be given to SMEs and startups.

Program Overview


1. Introduction to the Program: Presenters will outline the "Business Next Tokyo" initiative, an essential support program aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration in the business sector.
2. Introduction to Selected CVC Needs: Participants will learn about the business areas and focus fields of the 10 selected CVCs. This section will highlight collaboration opportunities for startups and SMEs.
3. Individual Consultation Sessions: For those interested, consultation slots will be available where program operators can answer questions regarding proposals and program details. Each consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes and will be conducted online. Note that slots are limited, and if not arranged on the same day, follow-up responses will be provided via email or through rescheduling.

Proposals for Collaboration with CVCs


For those wishing to propose collaboration to CVCs, please submit through the entry form. Note that submitting the entry form is not a prerequisite for participating in the seminar.

This initiative aligns with the "2050 Tokyo Strategy," promoting entry and investment into growth industries as outlined in Strategy 13.
