In 2025 alone, companies within the Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP) collectively earned over $1 billion, demonstrating the potential of this burgeoning industry. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that the choice to pursue digitization is not merely an economic decision but a pathway towards greater competitiveness, transparency, and resilience. Thanks to advanced interoperability infrastructure, approximately 78% of public services for businesses are accessible online, streamlining processes, reducing administrative burdens, and facilitating faster interactions with public institutions. In 2025, digital public services led to savings of around €44 million and more than 9.3 million hours for citizens and businesses alike, while the country’s digital infrastructure handled approximately 3.2 million data exchanges daily.
Additionally, MDS26 marked the launch of EVO 2.0, an integrated government application fully aligned with European regulations concerning digital identity. This application allows citizens to securely access verified documents and their personal data directly from their mobile devices, further enhancing digital accessibility.
The summit paved the way for Moldova to transition from mere digital expertise to tangible innovation capabilities, evidenced by the introduction of initial agreements and expressions of interest regarding the Moldova HiTech Park.
