Nobitel Transitions to Co-CEO Model for Global Expansion of Dr. Stretch

Nobitel Transitions to a Co-CEO Structure for Enhanced Growth

Nobitel, the company behind the popular stretch specialist store "Dr.stretch" with over 290 locations, is making a pivotal shift in its leadership structure. Effective April 1, 2026, the company will implement a co-CEO model, appointing Masahiro Kurokawa as Chairman and CEO, and Shunsuke Masaki as President and COO.

This significant change comes after years of operating under a single leadership model, marking a new chapter aimed at expanding Nobitel's business on a global scale. The move is part of a strategic initiative to enhance decision-making and governance as the company navigates a rapidly changing market environment.

Objectives of the New Structure

1. Acceleration of Management Decisions

The co-CEO model is designed to clarify the roles of the Chairman and the President, allowing the company to achieve quicker and more diverse decision-making. In a dynamic market that requires agility, this structure aims to facilitate prompt responses to challenges and opportunities.

2. Strengthening Governance and Performance Achievement

Looking ahead, Nobitel is set to enhance governance processes. With clearly defined responsibilities, the new leadership structure is intended to bolster efforts to meet performance goals. As Nobitel anticipates future growth stages, the aim is to create a robust framework that ensures the company meets its business objectives.

3. Sustainable Development and Future Leadership

This transition is also about fostering future leaders. By solidifying its management foundation, Nobitel plans to accelerate the development of the next generation of leaders, ensuring long-term sustainability and value growth as the company works towards becoming a century-old enterprise.

Profiles of the New Leaders

Masahiro Kurokawa - Chairman & CEO

Kurokawa's journey began in 1993 with the establishment of Outburn Co., Ltd. (now Nobitel). He served as the representative director as the company transitioned to Fubik in 2002, and then rebranded to Nobitel in 2021. With years of experience under his belt, Kurokawa will lead the strategic vision of the company as Chairman.

Shunsuke Masaki - President & COO

Masaki's career spans over two decades, beginning with Fujita Corporation in 1996. His extensive experience includes pivotal roles at Mitsui & Co. and Dream Link, culminating in his appointment as COO of Nobitel in 2024.
