Unveiling the Exciting Second Program of DIG SHIBUYA 2026
The SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH committee, in collaboration with the Shibuya Ward, has announced the second set of programs for the much-anticipated event “DIG SHIBUYA 2026,” scheduled from February 13 to 15, 2026. This event will be a hub for the latest cultural experiences, emphasizing an immersive approach to art and technology within urban settings.
Themes and Experiences
This year, the theme focuses on "Updating Our Five Senses in the City.” The second program offers a lineup of six innovative experiences that promise an engaging interaction between visitors and their surroundings.
1. Drone Show - DIG SHIBUYA 2026 / Digital Garage DRONE SHOW “Earthshot”
One of the main attractions is the visually stunning drone show, returning due to popular demand. Following the success of last year’s performance, this show will light up the night sky over Shibuya, combining drone technology with live entertainment of artistic expression.

2. Digital Installation - Hello! Duetti
Experience the magic of collaboration through simple movements. This interactive installation allows participants to create improvised musical pieces simply by swaying or stepping on a specially designed bench and pole. Two participants can engage even without verbal communication, fostering a unique dialogue through sound.

- - Location: National Route 246 Pedestrian Deck, connecting Shibuya Scramble Square and Shibuya Stream.
3. Projection Mapping - SCREENS CONTEXTUALIZED
In collaboration with visual artist and programmer Toshiki Okamoto, this program transforms the Shibuya PARCO wall into a vibrant canvas exhibiting light and video art. This cutting-edge projection mapping is part of the official DIG SHIBUYA program.

4. Interactive Art Viewing Tour - Dialogue Electronica
This guided tour invites participants to explore various pieces throughout Shibuya and engage in meaningful dialogue about their interpretations and feelings related to the art. This informal setting encourages diverse perspectives and connections, making art approachable without requiring prior knowledge.

5. Shibuya Crossing Night Art
A must-see event, this features a one-hour art display illuminating the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, showcasing contributions from various artists at the stroke of midnight.

6. Haptic Communication Device - “Koko Denwa”
Experience a revolutionary form of communication with the “Koko Denwa.” This device ensures that users can engage not just through voice but also through tactile sensations—creating a unique conversational experience.
