Minnesota Dental Association Welcomes New Leadership for 2025-2026 Term

New Leadership at the Minnesota Dental Association



On September 19, 2025, the Minnesota Dental Association (MDA) held its Leadership Conference in Minneapolis, where new officers and trustees for the 2025-2026 term were officially installed. This event marks an important transition for the organization, which serves as the voice of dentistry across Minnesota, advocating for both practicing dentists and the promotion of dental health.

Newly Elected Officers


The conference saw an enthusiastic gathering of dental professionals, as they welcomed the newly elected leadership team:
  • - Dr. Scott Wagnild as President
  • - Dr. John Noack as President-Elect
  • - Dr. Aruna Rao as First Vice-President
  • - Dr. Loren Taple as Second Vice-President
  • - Dr. Alejandro Aguirre as Treasurer

In his new role, Dr. Wagnild, who practices at Northern Lakes Dental in Fergus Falls, emphasized the importance of community health initiatives and aims to foster an environment that encourages collaboration among dental practitioners.

Dr. Noack, associated with the Professional Dental Group in Northfield, will support Wagnild as he transitions into the president role. Dr. Rao, representing Koala Dental Care in St. Cloud, and Dr. Taple, from Northwood Dental in Eagan, complete the executive team focused on enhancing dental practices throughout the state. Meanwhile, Dr. Aguirre, who has recently retired, will bring a wealth of experience to his role as treasurer.

Trustees Elected


The conference wasn't only about the new officers; it also included the election of trustees to oversee various districts in Minnesota. Reelected to serve a second term as trustee was Dr. Paul Morgan from Winona, representing the Southeastern District. The Northwestern District now has Dr. Scott Larson of Blackduck filling an expiring trustee term.
