Subaru's Heartwarming Initiative: $3.1M for Critically Ill Children

Subaru's Heartwarming Initiative

For the 14th consecutive year, Subaru has partnered with Make-A-Wish, significantly raising funds to support children facing critical illnesses. During the 2024 Subaru Share the Love Event, an impressive total of $3.1 million was raised for Make-A-Wish, bringing their total contributions over the years to more than $38 million. This initiative underscores Subaru of America, Inc.'s commitment to bringing joy and hope to children during tough times.

In this event, Subaru and affiliated retailers contributed a minimum of $300 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased. While Make-A-Wish was chosen as one of the four national charity beneficiaries, Subaru retailers had the choice to donate to 834 local charities in their communities. Remarkably, 32 Subaru retailers opted to support 23 Make-A-Wish chapters, allowing customers to direct their contributions toward making wishes come true for local kids.

Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, emphasized the importance of these contributions, stating, "A wish has the power to ignite hope and resilience in children battling critical illnesses. Yet, for every wish we grant, two more children are still waiting for their wish." The collaboration between Subaru and Make-A-Wish demonstrates the positive impact long-term supporters can have in helping to fulfill the dreams of many children in need.

This initiative highlights not just Subaru’s commitment but also the passionate involvement of their retailers and customers in making genuine differences in young lives. Fun events, impactful campaigns, and teamwork amongst Subaru employees and the community contribute to a movement that brings light to families in difficult situations. With each campaign, Subaru aims to ensure that wishes are granted, leaving a lasting mark of joy and hope.
