Robotera's Innovative Leap: Securing RMB 1 Billion for Advancements in Embodied Intelligence

Robotera Secures Significant Series A+ Funding

Robotera, a trailblazer in the field of embodied intelligence, has made headlines by raising nearly RMB 1 billion (a remarkable USD 140 million) through its recently concluded Series A+ financing round. This funding, which was finalized on November 20, 2025, sees Geely Capital taking the lead along with critical participation from BAIC Capital. In addition, Robotera has garnered support from various global industry leaders, showcasing robust confidence in its strategic direction towards embodied intelligence.

The infusion of capital is poised to elevate Robotera’s robotic innovations and facilitate the mass production and delivery of its diverse portfolio of robots comprising everything from bipedal humanoid robots to wheeled service robots, as well as dexterous robotic hands. The strategic collaboration with Geely Capital and BAIC Capital is anticipated to unleash vital synergies, particularly in the realms of industrial implementation, supply chain unification, and practical applications in real-world scenarios.

Founded in August 2023, Robotera aims to develop general-purpose robots fueled by embodied intelligence, enabling systems that not only learn but also adapt and act based on continuous physical interactions. Currently, the company operates three principal product lines that include full-size bipedal humanoid robots, full-size wheeled service robots, and specialized dexterous hands. Impressively, Robotera has already achieved large-scale commercial deployment, counting nine of the top ten most valuable tech companies globally among its clientele.

Robotera’s robotic platform has gained recognition for its exceptional performance and capabilities in real-world applications. Notably, its full-size bipedal humanoid robot demonstrated impressive environmental adaptability by successfully walking on snow as early as January 2024. Moreover, it has achieved athletic feats with record-breaking jumps — a long jump of 1.47 meters and a high jump distinctly reaching 95.64 cm at the recent World Humanoid Robot Games.

Additionally, the company’s state-of-the-art dexterous hand, branded as XHAND 1, showcases a fully direct-drive architecture optimized for advancement in reinforcement learning within the realm of embodied intelligence research. With the ability to manipulate over 100 different tools, XHAND 1 has established itself as a standard in robotics laboratories globally, forming a critical foundation for myriad peer-reviewed publications.

In summary, as Robotera embarks on this new chapter fueled by substantial funding, the robotics industry eagerly anticipates the evolution of its product offerings and the broader implications of embodied intelligence. This funding round not only marks a significant milestone for Robotera but also solidifies its position as a leader in the robot-driven future, leading to innovations that are set to transform various industry sectors worldwide.
