Fujimoto Sake was founded in 1902 in Kyoto's Higashiyama area, establishing itself as a prominent sake producer by relocating to the prime sake-brewing region of Fushimi in 1918. Although the brewery temporarily closed in 1995, a passionate revival initiated by the fifth-generation owner Masakazu Fujimoto led to its reopening in 2002, showcasing a dedication to both traditional methods and innovative practices.
