A Unique Rabbit Hutch Gifted by Open House Group to Enrich Animal Welfare

A Unique Rabbit Hutch Gifted by Open House Group

Open House Group, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has made an admirable contribution to animal welfare by donating an original rabbit hutch to the Okazaki City East Park Zoo. This initiative reflects the company's commitment to community service through its "Collaboration Support System," aimed at providing better living conditions for the zoo's residents.

The donated rabbit hutch is specially designed for a breed known as the Flemish Giant, which can grow to three times the size of a regular rabbit. This unique hutch was crafted with care after discussions with the zoo's staff to ensure the well-being of these magnificent creatures. The team garnered insights into the rabbits' habits, which informed strategies for heat management and maintenance. The result is a well-designed habitat that promises to enhance the comfort of its furry inhabitants while offering a spectacle for zoo visitors.

Message from the Okazaki City East Park Rabbit Caretaker

Upon hearing that a new rabbit hutch would be donated for the Flemish Giants, I felt immense gratitude. These rabbits deeply love their new home. Previously, they were cramped in a small space alongside the mother-and-child duo, which made it challenging for them to enjoy each other's company. Upon learning about this donation, I conveyed many wishes and ideas on how we wanted the hutch to look. The designers attentively fulfilled each of our requests, for which we are truly thankful.

The new rabbit hutch has been thoughtfully designed to offer an attractive view of the family from all angles. Measures have been taken to ensure the interior remains cool, providing a comfortable environment even as they snuggle closely together. While the hutch is larger, it remains lightweight, making cleaning easy — a feature sure to please our tidy rabbits.

I sincerely invite visitors to come and meet our beloved family in their new hutch.
