Southwest Airlines Begins Interline Partnership with Singapore Airlines



In a strategic move aimed at enhancing global travel options, Southwest Airlines Co. has entered into an interline partnership with Singapore Airlines (SIA). This collaboration facilitates single-ticket connections for travelers flying to and from the United States, allowing for a smoother transition across various international routes.

A New Era of Travel Convenience


The announcement was made during the crucial International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting held in Brazil. With this partnership, Southwest Airlines strengthens its commitment to providing an expansive travel network. Thanks to the alliance, international travelers can now book tickets that not only bring them to the US but allow for seamless connections to almost 120 airports within the Southwest network.

The SIA Group serves over 130 destinations across 35 countries and territories, linking its primary hub in Singapore Changi Airport with three major Southwest-served U.S. airports: Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle/Tacoma (SEA), and San Francisco (SFO). This cooperation significantly opens up new routes for customers looking to travel between the U.S. and various global destinations, simplifying the booking process for flights.
