The donated funds will primarily assist the humanitarian efforts led by the WFP, focusing on food assistance within Myanmar. The initiative aims to address the immediate needs of those who have been affected by the earthquake, particularly in a region already grappling with food insecurity exacerbated by military rule.
Details of the Donation
- - Donation Amount: 2,000,000 yen
- - Recipient Organization: Accredited NPO United Nations World Food Programme Association
Background of the Support
Myanmar is known for its sesame production, in which Kadoya Oil has deep-rooted connections. The ongoing food insecurity due to the military regime's policies has worsened following the earthquake, creating a dire situation for many residents. The WFP, with its robust logistics capabilities, has established a reliable system for delivering essential support directly to those in need. This alignment with Kadoya's mission to foster sustainable relationships with producing regions motivated our decision to contribute.
Moving forward, Kadoya aims to tackle social issues through our core business of sesame while maintaining sustainable relationships with producers. Our commitment lies in enhancing the health and richness of life through food.
We sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the affected areas and for the return of peace and normalcy for the people of Myanmar.
