PNC Appoints Douglas Dachille to Its Board of Directors

In a notable move to bolster its leadership team, PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) has named Douglas Dachille to its board of directors, a decision effective immediately. Alongside his appointment to the board, Dachille will also serve on the board's risk committee, reinforcing PNC's commitment to analytical oversight in managing financial risks.

Dachille boasts an impressive background, having previously held the position of Chief Investment Officer at American International Group Inc. (AIG) from 2015 to 2021. His transition to AIG came through the acquisition of First Principles Capital Management, a company he co-founded and led as its CEO. Moreover, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Zurich Capital Markets, further solidifying his extensive experience in the financial sector. Dachille's professional journey began at JPMorgan Chase, where he excelled as the global head of proprietary trading, eventually taking on additional responsibilities as co-treasurer.

William S. Demchak, chairman and CEO of PNC, expressed enthusiasm about Dachille’s joining the board. He remarked, "We are thrilled to welcome Doug as a new independent director. His unique perspective of the financial services sector will help steer our accelerated growth strategy." This sentiment underscores the value placed on diverse insights from seasoned professionals in shaping the company's future.

In addition to his role at PNC, Dachille serves on the boards of Equitable Holdings, Inc. and BridgeBio Pharma, Inc. His educational credentials are equally impressive; he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from a joint biomedical program through Union University and Albany Medical College, followed by obtaining an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.

The PNC Financial Services Group stands as one of the largest diversified financial institutions in the United States, providing a wide range of services tailored to both consumers and businesses. Its offerings encompass retail and business banking, lending products, wealth management, asset management, and specialized services aimed at corporations and government entities, including corporate banking and real estate finance.
