Carrier Introduces App Innovations for Enhanced Building Management and Efficiency

Carrier Enhances Abound Insights Assistant App

In a significant step toward advancing building management, Carrier Global Corporation has rolled out a series of enhancements to its Abound Insights Assistant app. This upgrade is designed to empower building managers and facilities teams, allowing them to manage equipment operations more efficiently while minimizing maintenance challenges.

The Abound Insights Assistant app leverages AI-generated insights and recommendations, covering over 25 categories of commercial building equipment including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and controls. These insights are derived from the award-winning Abound Insights AI platform, which continuously analyzes equipment performance across various buildings. This proactive approach provides building managers with actionable recommendations directly through the app, enabling them to preemptively address potential issues.

One compelling feature of the app is its ability to notify users of critical issues, such as a suspected refrigerant leak in a chiller system. Such insights allow users to check the refrigerant levels immediately and equip them with vital information regarding risks, like potential compressor damage. This proactive notification system grants users the foresight needed to schedule timely inspections, ensuring smooth operations.

Yasir Qureshi, General Manager of Carrier Abound, stated, "As we continue to innovate, we are equipping our customers with tools that enhance their efficiency and productivity. By melding advanced technology with user-friendly solutions, we streamline operations and enable customers to achieve superior building performance."

The app's new 'To-Do List' feature elevates user experience by streamlining task management. The equipment health dashboard offers essential insights into energy efficiency and the potential failures of systems. Additionally, a new quick access filter allows users to categorize equipment, prioritizing tasks based on the connected equipment’s health and the necessary skills for completing repairs.

Each task in the 'To-Do' list is accompanied by AI-generated repair recommendations and service histories, ensuring technicians have the resources they need for swift issue resolution. The updated Live Connect feature further enhances the app’s capabilities, permitting seamless access to live data regarding equipment health and offering tailored repair recommendations to optimize workflows.

Another valuable addition is the Site Summary feature, designed to spotlight sites and assets that need attention, assisting managers in making informed decisions. With these enhancements, Carrier Abound persists on its path of innovation, providing users with solutions that not only improve efficiency but also contribute to sustainability within building operations.
