Walking App 'aruku&' Launches Premium Subscription with New Features

The popular walking application 'aruku&', operated by ONE COMPATH from the TOPPAN Group, is set to enhance user experience with the introduction of a new subscription service called 'aruku& Premium' and a fresh feature named 'Titles'. The launch is scheduled for December 2, 2025. With this premium service, users can skip in-app advertisements, earn in-app currency more efficiently, and enjoy new exclusive benefits.

Since its release in November 2016, 'aruku&' has amassed over 2.7 million downloads, engaging users through fun challenges and rewards like local delicacies for completing tasks. Responding to user feedback requesting the removal of video ads and a better value experience, the company revamped its app and introduced the premium subscription, allowing for a more enjoyable and economical way to stay active and healthy.

What is 'aruku& Premium'?

The 'aruku& Premium' subscription is available for a monthly fee of 1,380 yen. By subscribing, users can benefit from four key advantages:

1. Ad-Free Experience: All video advertisements within the app will be hidden for premium members, making it easier and more enjoyable to complete requests from community members and earn points without interruptions.
2. Daily Currency Rewards: Users will receive 30 in-app currency coins, called Potastones, daily just for opening the app. Additionally, there will be a bonus of 100 Potastones at the subscription renewal.
3. Increased Mission Limits: The limit on earning points through walking missions will be raised. Subscribers can now complete 5 additional missions of 500 steps each day, allowing for up to 300 extra points.
4. Exclusive Titles: Upon subscribing to 'aruku& Premium', users will receive distinct titles, which are different from regular mission rewards or items sold in the shop. These titles symbolize premium membership and can enhance the user experience.

New Feature: Titles

The new 'Titles' feature introduces an in-app emblem that will be displayed on user profiles in the rankings. Each title has a unique design and can be earned in various ways, such as completing missions, making purchases in the shop, or subscribing to 'aruku& Premium'. Events will also be organized to add special effects, such as boosting Potastone gains during specific periods when titles are displayed.

Looking Ahead

With a commitment to its concept of “fun and valuable group walking,” 'aruku&' plans to strengthen team functionalities, expand the range of coupons and rewards, and initiate tie-up campaigns with other companies. These enhancements aim to foster a community where walking becomes a delightful and habitual activity.
