Atre Ebisu's Sustainable Fair: Engaging in a Circular Economy

Atre Ebisu Launches Sustainable Fair

Atre Ebisu, managed by Atre Inc., located in the heart of Shibuya, announces the launch of its highly anticipated Sustainable Fair, set to take place from September 1 to September 17, 2026. Under the theme "Recycling, Ebisu. Connecting the Future," this fair invites locals and visitors alike to experience a variety of engaging activities that promote sustainable living and environmental awareness.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Across 26 participating shops, Atre Ebisu aims to present innovative solutions aimed at sustainable living. These shops will showcase environmentally friendly products, initiate clothing collection drives, and provide opportunities for guests to get involved with upcycling initiatives. Notably, a book swap event and creative workshops will also allow patrons to enjoy meaningful interactions while contributing to a circular economy.

Highlighted Events

The Sustainable Fair offers a diverse range of events, allowing participants to learn about sustainability while having fun. Here are some noteworthy activities scheduled:

1. Initiatives by 26 Participating Shops

Each of the 26 shops will roll out their unique sustainability projects, which could include the collection of used clothing, the utilization of eco-friendly materials, and the provision of repair and care services to promote product longevity. Visitors are encouraged to engage with these shops to discover their individual narratives and contributions toward making more conscious lifestyle choices.

2. What Does Sustainability Mean in Books?

Organizer: Yurindo, 5th floor, Main Building
Date: September 5 (Saturday), 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Fontaine Square, 4th floor, Main Building
Guests are invited to bring along books they've finished reading to participate in a book swap, connecting them with other readers who may appreciate their previous selections. Even without bringing a book, attendees can select one from the swaps available at the venue. Additionally, families can join a creative workshop for making original book covers using coloring activities that showcase the logo of Yokohama Children’s Hospice “Umi to Sora no Ouchi.” This promises to be a fun project for both parents and children!

3. Closet Animals Workshop

Organizer: Assemble Estnation, 3rd floor, Main Building
Date: September 12 (Saturday), 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Fontaine Square, 4th floor, Main Building
Participants can repurpose unwanted hangers and leftover fabric to create charming animal figures. This upcycling activity encourages creativity while utilizing materials often considered wasteful. The participation fee is 2,500 yen, payable at the shop on the event day.

4. Cosmetic Collection and Upcycling Project

Organizer: Atre Ebisu in collaboration with Morn Garta
Date: September 12 (Saturday), 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Location: Fontaine Square, 4th floor, Main Building
During this event, collected cosmetics will be transformed into beautiful art supplies such as paints and water-based gel ink pens, which will be utilized in future in-store events. The first 100 participants who join the cosmetics collection will receive a 500 yen digital coupon valid for use at Atre Ebisu from September 18 to September 30 on purchases worth over 5,000 yen.
