John Danielson Brings Extensive Experience to Panorama Education's Board of Directors

John Danielson Joins Panorama Education's Board of Directors

Panorama Education, the forefront of student insight and action in K-12 education, proudly announces the appointment of John Danielson to its Board of Directors. With over thirty years of dedication to improving educational outcomes, Danielson aims to bolster the organization’s efforts to positively impact over 15 million students nationwide.

A Legacy of Commitment to Education

Danielson’s journey in education has been marked by substantial achievements at various levels of the educational system. As a proud Texan, he has spent significant portions of his career collaborating closely with large school districts, implementing programs that bridge the gap between student needs and actionable solutions. His experience includes a noteworthy period as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Education, where he worked alongside two presidents and three secretaries of education, influencing policy and shaping the educational landscape.

His co-founding of an organization dedicated to providing academic and behavioral support to at-risk students in prominent districts, particularly in Houston, showcases his commitment to fostering academic growth and reducing crime rates among youth. Furthermore, his leadership role as Chairman and CEO of the Chartwell Hamilton Group emphasizes his advisory capabilities, helping education leaders and policymakers create systems designed to uplift student performance.

Focus on Student-Centric Initiatives

Aaron Feuer, CEO and Co-founder of Panorama Education, highlighted Danielson’s unwavering commitment to student-focused decision-making in education. “John’s understanding of what sparks meaningful results for students is invaluable,” said Feuer. “His vast experience equips him with the insight needed to help superintendents navigate challenges effectively.”

Davidson’s appointment couldn't come at a more crucial time. Panorama Education's influence is tangible, as partnering districts report improved graduation rates, enhanced reading and math scores, and a dramatic decrease in chronic absenteeism. Currently, Panorama collaborates with ten state agencies and over 2,000 school districts in the United States, accounting for one in four students. The organization is poised for even broader impacts through its ongoing engagements with state education agencies.

Building Trust and Delivering Results

In reflecting on his affiliation with Panorama, Danielson expressed concern for student support, stating, “Superintendents are discerning; they won’t stay with a partner unless it delivers results.” His insights into student needs align seamlessly with Panorama's mission to build educational futures that prioritize student welfare.

Danielson's extensive involvement on multiple nonprofit and advisory boards, including the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy and the National Afterschool Alliance, complements his vision in educational reform. He also chairs the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award-USA, a prominent youth educative alliance.
