Classico Co., Ltd., based in Minato, Tokyo, is set to launch the third iteration of its collaboration with the NPO Wonder Art. Project Background

The project centers around Classico's scrub line "Scrub Canvas Club" and is themed "WONDER BEING." Drawing inspiration from the renowned Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido, the initiative aims to reflect the strength and warmth of life seen in animals, translated through artistic expressions from a group of six talented artists.

The link between this project and Asahiyama Zoo is profound. Classico and Wonder Art were moved by the zoo's commitment to showcasing animals in their natural behaviors, emphasizing the theme "Communicating Life." On December 27, 2024, they visited Asahiyama Zoo amidst fallen snow, a trip that ultimately became a catalyst for this creative collaboration. Witnessing the animals and their sincere reactions evoked a strong desire to convey the importance of life to those working in the medical field.

Artistic Expression through Scrubs

Each artist from the Wonder Art Studio contributed unique artwork influenced by their observations at Asahiyama Zoo. The resulting scrub designs are more than just clothing; they embody a narrative of empathy, creativity, and hope.

- Navy: This design features silhouettes of nocturnal animals dancing against a vibrant paper-cut backdrop, created by artist Shinsuke Owada. With intricate stitch work showcasing various embroidery colors, the scrub captures the essence of nighttime adventures in the animal kingdom.
