Relocation Event Overview
The 'Yamagucci and Tsuwano Relaxed Relocation Life 2026 - Learn, See, Enjoy' event is set to take place on July 26, 2026, at the Green Room on the 3rd floor of the Tokyo Transportation Hall. The event is co-hosted by the Yamagucci Core Urban Area Promotion Council and the Public Interest Corporation, Furusato Kaiki and Relocation Exchange Promotion Organization, headed by Director Takahashi Ko.
During this event, six cities from Yamagucci Prefecture and Tsuwano Town from Shimane Prefecture will present their attractive offerings for potential movers. Whether you are curious about living arrangements, job opportunities, or a new lifestyle, this event is designed for you. Entry is free, and attendees can freely come and go throughout the day.

Talk Session:
I Found It! The Charm of Living in Nanashimachi - Insights from Relocators (Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)
Four guests who have relocated to Yamagucci and Tsuwano will share their experiences. They will discuss their motivations for moving and the unique allure of their current living situations. This session is a rich source of practical advice for anyone considering a relocation to this area.
1. Kio Matsudo (Yamagucci City) - Moved from Tokyo to Ato in Yamagucci City. Former community revitalization officer now engaged in diverse endeavors, including catering and inbound guiding.
2. Yoshitaka Hagiya (Tsuwano Town) - After a career in sales and customs at Nippon Yusen, returned to his family's temple as a monk, while promoting Mölkky and serving as a hot spring sommelier.
3. Haruto Uehara (Hofu City) - Originally from Chiba, he moved as a community revitalization officer, managing information dissemination at the tourism association and running local media.
4. Miyo Ōshiro (Hagi City) - Originating from Nagasaki, she discovered Hagi while traveling and joined an experience tour. Moved in September 2025 and is currently working at a coffee stand and bookstore.

To join the workshops, registration will be available at the workshop corner in the venue starting at 11:00 AM on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that multiple workshops cannot be participated in simultaneously, and advance reservations are not accepted.

The Public Interest Corporation, Furusato Kaiki and Relocation Exchange Promotion Organization (JOIN-FURUSATO), supports moves from urban areas to rural locales, fostering interactions between urban sites and mountainous or seaside regions. Their mission is to rejuvenate local communities within a declining population context, operating the 'Furusato Kaiki Support Center' in Tokyo, which connects prospective residents with valuable regional information.
