Exploring Brand Loyalty in LMR Parts and Services: New Study by Haloid Solutions

Haloid Solutions Launches Brand Loyalty Study on LMR Parts, Accessories, and Repairs

Haloid Solutions has announced an industry-wide study aimed at understanding brand loyalty concerning land mobile radio (LMR) parts, accessories, and repair services. This initiative seeks to gather insights into how these products and services influence the purchasing decisions within the LMR market. While data regarding radio shipments and system deployments is extensive, less is known about the aftermarket components that are crucial for maintaining operational efficiency.

The Importance of Aftermarket Components

The aftermarket items like batteries, speaker microphones, chargers, and various replacement components represent both a recurring cost and a potential source of frustration for organizations managing substantial radio fleets. Over the average lifecycle of radio equipment, which spans five to ten years, these aftermarket experiences can significantly impact whether an organization remains loyal to a specific brand or chooses to switch to alternatives.

This study aims to measure exactly what elements contribute to brand loyalty, alongside identifying practices that may deter customers. With the radio industry’s focus heavily vested in shipment data, this initiative represents a unique chance to integrate the voice of managers and users who face real-world challenges in maintaining and managing these essential communications tools.

Who Can Participate?

The survey is open to business and government radio managers who oversee fleets of over 100 radios. This includes individuals responsible for the procurement, management, and upkeep of two-way radio systems. Each participant can expect to spend about 10 to 15 minutes completing the survey, with all responses kept confidential. Selected participants may also be invited for brief follow-up interviews via email for further insights.

Moreover, participants who complete the survey will receive a $50 honorarium, which can be kept or donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, reinforcing the commitment to community support alongside data collection.

Research Framework and Support

The study is being conducted under the guidance of former Deloitte consultants in collaboration with academic researchers. Additionally, it is sponsored by an investment fund, signifying its importance in capturing actionable insights within this sector. According to John Pershing, Managing Director of Haloid Solutions, radio fleet managers rarely have the opportunity to share their perspectives and experiences; this study is designed to empower them. “A radio is only as good as the parts and service behind it,” he emphasizes.

This research seeks to give radio owners not just a voice but a platform where their opinions matter in shaping the future of LMR products and services. It aims to bridge the gap between consumers and manufacturers, encouraging direct dialogue that can drive improvements in product design and support.
