FamilyMart Expands Frozen Food Options to Tackle Food Waste

The company aims to streamline logistics and cut down on food waste by changing its delivery system in the Hokuriku area to twice a day, thereby ensuring better availability of their popular onigiri and bento meals at any time of the day.

The newly added frozen rice balls are made using the same high-quality, domestically sourced rice that FamilyMart's regular onigiri employs. To enjoy these convenient snacks, customers just need to partially open the bag and heat them in the microwave for an instant, delicious treat.
