According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the prevalence of mental health issues during and post-pregnancy necessitates ongoing support strategies.

Past data indicates an inconsistent attendance rate for postpartum healthcare visits in the U.S., averaging around 72%. Alarmingly, attendance rates drop to 43% among the most marginalized populations who are often served by Federally Qualified Health Centers. Research shows that having health insurance correlates positively with increased visits, which are crucial for assessing both physical wellbeing and mental health after childbirth.

Advocacy for Postpartum Care
