Hisense Expands ConnectLife Platform to Third-Party Devices Using Google Home APIs
Hisense Expands ConnectLife Platform Integration
Hisense, a leading global brand in consumer electronics and home appliances, recently unveiled its plans to integrate new Google Home APIs into its ConnectLife app. This ambitious move aims to provide users with the capability to effortlessly integrate their third-party smart home devices into the ConnectLife ecosystem by this fall. The development promises to elevate user experience by enabling seamless control not only over Hisense products such as televisions, refrigerators, and air conditioners but also a diverse range of third-party smart devices. This shift marks a significant step towards enhancing the overall smart home experience for all users.
Enhanced Smart Home Experiences
With the forthcoming integration of Google Home APIs, ConnectLife users will benefit from the ability to onboard and manage compatible devices, including those certified as 'Works with Google Home' and Matter devices. Google I/O 2025 highlighted this exciting integration, with Hisense featured as a launch partner. Leveraging access to over 750 million devices through Google Home APIs, the ConnectLife platform will facilitate enhanced compatibility and sophisticated automation features. Users will be able to control everything from smart plugs and lighting systems to doorbells and curtains—all within a single application.
This advanced connectivity will not only streamline control but also enrich user experiences when it comes to entertainment, pet care, air quality management, and much more. The intuitive 'One Touch' mode and customizable automation settings will enable users to combine Hisense products with third-party devices to create intelligent home responses. For example, air conditioners can be automatically adjusted based on third-party air quality sensors, or smart lights can visually notify users when the Hisense refrigerator's VersaTemp drawer reaches the optimal temperature for chilling beverages.
Simplifying Smart Interactions
While visual notifications through smart lamps already exist, Hisense's integration will allow users to easily configure detailed interactions between devices directly within the ConnectLife app. This enhancement significantly simplifies the setup process, offering advantages such as visual alerts from third-party smart lights to aid hearing-impaired users, assisting those with busy hands, or providing notifications when users prefer their phones to be on silent mode. This streamlined experience means users no longer need to juggle multiple third-party applications for setup and control, paving the way for a coherent and unified smart home experience.
Miguel Becerra, Director of Smart Home Experiences for Hisense in the Americas, stated, “At Hisense, we are committed to making smart living easier for everyone. This integration empowers ConnectLife to create seamless experiences that enhance the everyday lives of our consumers.” The enhanced ConnectLife app with Google Home API integration is expected to be available this fall for both Android and iOS platforms.
