Japanese Para Powerlifting Federation Partners with Daiichi Jitsugyo Co. for Inclusive Sports Initiative

The Japanese Para Powerlifting Federation is excited to announce its new partnership with Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., marking a significant step towards promoting inclusivity in sports. This collaboration embodies our commitment to empowering individuals with diverse abilities and maximizing their potential. Together, we aim to create a strong message regarding diversity and inclusion in society.
Background of the Partnership
Daiichi Jitsugyo Co. has been proactive in fulfilling its social responsibility by engaging in activities that enrich local communities and contribute to a sustainable society. In July 2024, Masaharu Ishihara, a sports athlete, joined Daiichi Jitsugyo. In March 2025, about 20 employees attended the 25th All-Japan Para Powerlifting International Invitational Championship, many of whom were experiencing para sports for the first time. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive; they were inspired by the athletes’ strength and dedication. This experience marked the beginning of our collaborative journey.
Future Prospects
As part of this partnership, both organizations will work together on various initiatives to support athletes, enhance corporate value, and contribute to the realization of a society where everyone can coexist. Some planned activities include:
- - Promoting understanding of para sports among Daiichi Jitsugyo employees and fostering opportunities for interaction with athletes.
- - Supporting the athletic and social contribution endeavors of athletes including Masaharu Ishihara, our employee-athlete.
- - Sharing messages to promote understanding of diversity and further diversify initiatives through our collaboration.
- - Using this partnership model as a practical example to encourage other companies to engage with para sports.
