Exciting Agricultural Community Event to Be Held at JR Osaka Station

On September 27th, 2025, the ‘Minori Minoru Marche: Kyoto's Harvest’ will take place at the Atrium Square in JR Osaka Station. This event is organized by JA ZEN-NOH, in association with JR West Japan, as part of their ongoing collaboration since 2015 aimed at promoting regional agricultural development and revitalizing areas along the railway lines.

The Marche will showcase a variety of seasonal produce from Kyoto, including the refreshingly sweet ‘Kyotan-go Pear’, the ‘Manganji Sweet Pepper’ which has recently received geographical indication (GI) certification for its thick flesh and sweetness, and the newly cultivated ‘Kyo Okra’. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a tourism booth that introduces the unique attractions of Kyoto Prefecture, highlighting the ingredients and regional products available at JA Town.

JA Town, an online marketplace operated by the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (JA ZEN-NOH), aims to bring consumers directly the freshest agricultural goods from various production areas. Their motto, ‘Let’s Live Deliciously in Japan’, embodies their mission to enrich lives through quality food sourced from local farmers. Each vendor at JA Town carefully selects and offers peak-season agricultural and livestock products directly from the farms to customers across the nation. Notably, the official character for JA Town is ‘Jeita’, adding a friendly face to their community-centered initiative.

The Marche will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the day of the event, or until items sell out. Note that while the event will be held rain or shine, it may be subject to cancellation in severe weather. This initiative is a prime opportunity for farmers, local businesses, and visitors to connect, celebrate agricultural diversity, and support local economies.

You can find the selling seasonal ingredients from Kyoto at JA Town online. Furthermore, JA Town will be actively sharing information about seasonal agricultural products and beneficial campaigns via its official X account: JA Town Official

With the support of local authorities and community members gathered around this unique market, ‘Minori Minoru Marche: Kyoto’s Harvest’ stands as a testament to the rich agricultural heritage of Kyoto and its ongoing connection with the vibrant culture and economy of the region. Don’t miss this chance to experience the best of Kyoto’s agricultural bounty!
