Lucas Bols USA Enhances Distribution Strategy for National Growth

In a strategic move poised to bolster its market position, Lucas Bols USA has entered into new partnerships with leading distributors across various U.S. markets. This overhaul is designed to optimize distribution channels and facilitate a broader reach for the company’s esteemed portfolio of spirits. Under the new arrangement, Lucas Bols will collaborate with Johnson Brothers, Martignetti Companies, Reyes Beverage Group, and Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits to drive its national expansion.

Strategic Transition in Distribution

Effective from June 1, 2026, Lucas Bols USA initiated its transition away from Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), following a productive and amicable tenure across 24 states. This strategic re-alignment aims to partner with distributors that align closely with the company’s growth vision and market objectives.

New Distribution Partners and Market Coverage

The new distribution framework brings coverage to key regions:
  • - Johnson Brothers is tasked with distribution in six new states: Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
  • - Martignetti Companies will manage distribution across Alabama, Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming, in addition to its existing operations in Northern New England.
  • - Reyes Beverage Group takes over distribution responsibilities in Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
  • - Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits will expand its market footprint with coverage in Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky, and Washington, supplementing its existing presence in Arkansas.

Brett Dunne, Managing Director at Lucas Bols USA, expressed that this reconfiguration is a significant milestone in enhancing their U.S. market strategy. He stated, "These partners will deliver the scale and market sophistication needed to aggressively grow our key trending brands ensuring we capture market share in this dynamic environment."

Expanding Portfolio and Partnership Growth

The newly appointed distributors will be responsible for promoting an impressive lineup of premium spirits and liqueurs from Lucas Bols USA’s established portfolio. This includes celebrated brands such as Bols Liqueurs, Galliano, Tequila Partida, Passoã (the world’s leading passion fruit liqueur), and Pallini, recognized as the world's number one limoncello. Additionally, Lucas Bols is committed to nurturing a burgeoning selection of non-alcoholic spirits featured under their Fluère brand.

Frank Cocx, CEO of The Lucas Bols Company, emphasized the importance of building a best-in-class distribution model. He asserts that the partnerships with top distributors are crucial for scaling operations and enhancing brand prominence across the U.S. market. He elaborated on the proactive measures aimed at accelerating growth through not only robust partnerships but also potential acquisitions.

A Historic Legacy in the Spirits Industry

Founded in Amsterdam in 1575, Lucas Bols holds a prestigious reputation as one of the oldest distilled spirits companies in the world. The brand has pioneered bartending practices and spirit innovations for centuries. Today, in the North American market, Lucas Bols continues to prioritize investments in team development, trade advocacy, and brand building to resonate with contemporary consumers.

With activities in over 110 countries, Lucas Bols is on a mission to craft exceptional cocktail experiences globally, fostering deeper connections with the modern consumer base. Through this strategic distribution overhaul, the company aims to position itself effectively in one of the most competitive markets, ensuring long-term growth and sustainability in an ever-evolving industry.
