Pollo Campero Joins Forces with St. Jude for 7th Year Supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness

Pollo Campero Rallies for a Good Cause

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Pollo Campero, a fast-casual restaurant with Guatemalan roots, is continuing its impactful collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Starting September 1 and running through October 31, Pollo Campero will donate $3 from every purchase of their exclusive St. Jude Care Cup, reinforcing the company's commitment to fighting childhood cancer.

This year marks the seventh consecutive year of this partnership, which has seen significant contributions over the years. To date, Pollo Campero has proudly donated over $400,000 to support the invaluable work of St. Jude in finding cures and providing necessary treatment for children battling cancer. Simple yet impactful, each Care Cup purchase not only serves a purpose but also grants customers a year of free refills on their favorite beverages, including refreshing aguas frescas, horchatas, and fountain drinks.

"The response from our customers and team members has been overwhelming during our previous partnerships, and it’s deeply rewarding to see our community come together for such a critical cause," expressed Luis Javier Rodas, Chief Operating Officer of Pollo Campero. "This initiative aligns perfectly with our core values; we are committed to supporting the communities we serve, and this is just one way we can give back."

Team Spirit and Community Engagement

Apart from direct contributions from the sales, Pollo Campero employees are walking participants in St. Jude’s childhood cancer walks occurring in Dallas on September 20 and Miami on September 27. At these charity events, guests can expect to sample delicious menu items and receive coupons for free meals at local locations.

Steve Froehlich, Chief Revenue Officer at ALSAC (the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude), expressed gratitude towards Pollo Campero's consistent support. "We are incredibly thankful for Pollo Campero and its dedicated employees who continuously strive to make a difference. Their partnership is crucial in eliminating the financial burden for families undergoing treatment at St. Jude, allowing them to focus solely on their children's well-being."

Building Long-Lasting Relationships

Highlighting the significance of such partnerships, Pollo Campero seeks to further unite communities for a common goal. This effort aims to ensure that no family ever faces financial obligations for treatment, travel, housing, or food while at St. Jude. By becoming active supporters of such movements, businesses reflect a commitment toward corporate social responsibility and community support.
