Christine Kwiat Takes Charge of R&D at Welch's

Effective immediately, Christine Kwiat has been appointed as the Chief Research and Development Officer. With over 20 years of experience in the fields of research, development, and innovation, Kwiat brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role. Before joining Welch's, she was the Vice President of R&D Innovation and Product Portfolio Management at Schwan's Food Company. Her extensive background includes leadership roles at major companies such as Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer, and Nabisco. Kwiat is credited with several successful product launches and holds five patents related to food technology and packaging innovation.

In her words, Kwiat expressed her excitement for the challenges ahead: "I am honored to lead Research and Development at Welch's during this transformative time. Kwiat's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from Penn State University. Furthermore, she serves on the Innovation Quorum Board of Directors at Boston University and the Hennepin Arts Board of Directors, showcasing her commitment to both the industry and the community.

Founded over 150 years ago and headquartered in Massachusetts, Welch's has built a strong reputation as a cooperative owned by 650 family farms across the United States. The brand is driven by a mission that centers on nourishing through the goodness of fruit.
