Announcing 'Rescue Jr.' at SeaWorld San Antonio

SeaWorld San Antonio is excited to reveal the grand opening of its latest attraction, Rescue Jr., set to take place on March 8, 2025. This new adventure zone is designed specifically for children, featuring a variety of interactive experiences that aim to educate and inspire the next generation of animal advocates.

The grand opening event will be celebrated at 11 AM, welcoming visitors to explore this immersive area where fun and learning intersect. In a special preview, SeaWorld Pass Members will be able to experience the thrills a day earlier on March 7.

A Focus on Animal Rescue and Conservation

At Rescue Jr., children will have the opportunity to engage with SeaWorld’s rescue and rehabilitation work through effective and meaningful activities. Byron Surrett, Chief Parks Operations Officer, shared, “This immersive play area brings our rescue efforts to life in a fun and educational way, celebrating the significant work our zoological team does to protect and care for marine life.”

As part of the grand opening, SeaWorld is offering a free Preschool Card for children aged 3 to 5, which provides unlimited access to all SeaWorld attractions throughout 2025. • - Ocean Quest Express: A themed train ride where young explorers, starting at 36 inches, can search for hidden sea life while experiencing an exhilarating journey.
• - Tide Pool Tumble: A joy ride for adventurers 42 inches and taller, offering a fun experience that mimics the ebb and flow of ocean tides.
• - Seabird Swing: For guests at least 36 inches, this giant swing lets children feel as if they are parasailing high above the landscape, giving them a unique view of the surroundings.
• - Ocean Rescue Carousel: A perfect ride for all ages. While everyone can enjoy this carousel, those over 42 inches can embark on the adventure solo!
