The Third China International Supply Chain Expo Wraps Up in Beijing

The Third China International Supply Chain Expo Concludes in Beijing

The five-day event, the third edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), concluded recently in Beijing under the theme "Connecting the World for a Common Future." This year's exposition highlighted China's ongoing commitment to broaden access and enhance international cooperation in global industry and supply chains.

Since its inception, the CISCE has successfully expanded its global reach and strengthened stakeholder engagement. This year, the expo welcomed 651 enterprises from China and 74 other countries and regions, with 35% of the exhibitors coming from abroad—a record high. Notably, U.S. companies represented the largest share of international participants, exhibiting a 15% increase from the previous year. More than 65% of the exhibitors were from Fortune Global 500 companies or recognized industry leaders such as Apple, Tesla, and NVIDIA.

NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, attended the event for three consecutive days and dubbed the Chinese supply chain a "miracle." The expo also showcased 152 new products, technologies, and services—a remarkable increase of 67% compared to the last edition. Among these debuts, 55 were presented during the CISCE Global Unveiling.

Exhibitors had the opportunity to engage with over 42,000 upstream and downstream companies, with preliminary data revealing the formalization of more than 6,000 agreements and partnership intentions throughout the exposition. In the future, the Alliance of Chinese and Foreign Exhibitors plans to collaborate with the China International Chamber of Commerce and industry committees to provide ongoing support for both domestic and international businesses, fostering a sustainable model of continuous engagement.

Additionally, the CISCE introduced a "Zero Carbon Expo" model, showcasing its leadership in sustainable event practices. The entire venue operated on 100% renewable electricity, leading to a reduction of over 1,100 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This initiative reaffirms the CISCE's commitment to set a benchmark for environmentally friendly gatherings that are carbon-neutral and plastic-free. Participants from both China and abroad presented various projects aligned with the Sustainable Lighthouse Factory initiative, offering practical solutions inspired by the CISCE to enhance sustainability across global supply chains.

Acknowledged as a vital forum in the global supply chain landscape, the CISCE continues to generate increasing interest. On the final day, 102 businesses and organizations signed agreements to participate in the next edition, marking a 50% increase in on-the-spot registrations compared to the previous year. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has also reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to providing a reliable, efficient, and transparent platform for global businesses and collaboration in supply chain management.
