Bartlett Completes Strategic Acquisition of Ceres Global Ag Corp for Expanded Agricultural Operations

Bartlett Completes Acquisition of Ceres Global Ag Corp

On July 7, 2025, Bartlett, part of the Savage company portfolio, proudly announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Ceres Global Ag Corp, a significant player in the agricultural supply chain based in Minnesota. This strategic move was made after receiving all necessary approvals from shareholders, courts, and regulators required for such a take-private transaction, which was first revealed in May of this year.

With Ceres now part of Bartlett, the company is poised to enhance its operational capabilities and expand its grain merchandising footprint, effectively adding approximately 45 million bushels of storage capacity for grain and oilseeds via 13 locations situated across Minnesota, North Dakota, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Ceres brings along a wealth of experience in trading crucial commodities, including spring wheat, durum, oats, and canola, significantly bolstering Bartlett's existing resources.

Jeff Roberts, President and CEO of Savage, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition: "This is an important moment for Ceres, for Bartlett, and for the Savage enterprise as a whole. This acquisition represents another step forward in our strategy to strengthen our agriculture business and broaden the value we deliver to customers across North America. The Ceres team and its leadership have an outstanding track record, and we're looking forward to building on that within the Savage portfolio."

The integration of Ceres into Bartlett's operations emphasizes a long-term growth strategy. The focus will be on leveraging the combined deep agricultural knowledge of both teams as well as their shared dedication to service, integrity, and operational excellence.

Bob Knief, Executive Director at Bartlett, remarked, "Ceres fits naturally with Bartlett in terms of people, assets, and vision. We're excited to grow our capabilities, expand our reach, and deliver even greater value to our grower and customer partners in the years to come."
