Heisei Art Award Winners Showcase at Heisei Memorial Museum



The Heisei Memorial Museum, managed by Heisei Construction, is excited to announce its landmark 100th exhibition titled "The Present of Heisei Art Award Winners: Seeking Art". This event will highlight the works of eight talented artists who received the prestigious Heisei Art Award from Tokyo University of the Arts. The exhibition opens on October 16, 2025, and runs through November 28, 2025.

Exhibition Highlights


This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view a collection of artworks from past winners of the Heisei Art Award, showcasing their evolution and creative trajectories from their early years to the present. The selected artists work across various mediums, including traditional Japanese painting, oil painting, sculpture, and innovative contemporary expressions.   • - "Hare" and "Sanma" by Tomoko Nanbo, the first Heisei Art Award winner specializing in craft.

Special Workshops


During the exhibition, workshops titled "Hakoniwa x Oku" will be held on October 17 and 18, 2025. A special guest, Dr. Shogo Shimizu, will also join for panel discussions, offering attendees a deeper understanding of the creative processes at play.

Participation fee: 2,000 JPY (reservation required), free entry for general visitation.
